Academic Overview

Consistent with the strategic vision of the University of Ghana, the Centre’s MSc, MPhil and PhD programmes are targeted at producing world-class urban scientists provided with a set of research and policy tools designed to equip them for success in their academic and professional careers. Consequently, the programme seeks to provide theoretical/technical and field-based knowledge, allowing its products to prepare themselves for the emerging job market on different aspects of the urban question. These programmes mark the University of Ghana’s response to the emerging challenges of transiting from rural-dominated to urban-dominated environments and structures.
